Dr. Michael Verber, DMD, FICOI
Dr. Michael Verber grew up in Camp Hill, PA, and is a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dickinson College before continuing his schooling at Temple University School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2003, Verber began his career working under the mentorship of his father, Dr. Stephen Verber, at Verber Family Dentistry. While he continues to treat the general dental concerns of local families, he has founded the Verber Advanced Dental Institute to study and treat complex occlusal (bite relations) and TMJ (jaw joint) problems. His work and articles have been featured in publications such as the Pennsylvania Dental Journal, The Patriot News, Penn Live, and Harrisburg Magazine. He was featured as one of the best young dentists in America by Incisal Edge Magazine, a respected industry publication.
Dr. Verber serves as the Associate Director of Study Clubs for The Dawson Academy, a prestigious organization recognized for training the world’s best dentists. In 2013, he was given the Scholar Award by the Academy for his efforts in comprehensive dentistry. He spends time outside of the office speaking and teaching at educational seminars for practicing dentists and medical professionals. He has served as the continuing education director for the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. In addition to lecturing, he enjoys writing. Most recently his work was published in Inside Dentistry.
Dr. Verber has committed himself to excellence in cosmetic dentistry and implantology, a passion of his since he began dental implant research in 1996 as an undergraduate. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and serves as a key opinion leader for Implant Direct, one of the world’s premier manufacturers for dental implants. He is also member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Susquehanna Valley Implant Study Club, and the Central PA Dawson Academy Study Club. Community service is important to Verber. For over a decade he volunteered his time coaching all levels of basketball for Cumberland Valley High School and the Cumberland Valley Youth Basketball Association. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and currently is a board member for the Cumberland Valley Eagle Foundation and the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. His dental outreach efforts have taken him as far as the remote villages of southwestern Haiti.
Dr. Verber and his wife Kelly are the loving parents of Vivian and Charlotte. Spending time at Bethany Beach, Delaware with his family is Dr. Verber’s favorite pastime. From architecture to graphic arts, he loves all types of design. He also enjoys basketball, the Pittsburgh Steelers, trying new restaurants, and writing.
